Adios

I never like goodbyes. Goodbye implies you'll never see someone again.

I like to think of it as an hasta luego. Or even hasta pronto.

Whatever the case may be...

Godspeed.

One Month

Blogs never seem to turn out the way you want them to.
You start with high aspirations and suddenly time passes and you've "skipped" ten or twenty or thirty days.
But in doing so it doesn't mean life hasn't been lived, lessons learned, and love received.
I'm so appreciative of my time I've had here in Costa Rica.
I wouldn't change it for the world.
I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

And there's still a month left.

Awesome.

Tutoring Center Construction...

Hey all,

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Things have been moving right along here in the CR. In most recent news we started the construction of a new tutoring center in the precario we've been working in. A lot of dirt was dug and moved in preparation for the base concrete blocks. If I knew any construction lingo I'm sure I could make this a lot better sounding, alas, it is what it is.

Today is more digging and then moving in all the materials such as bags of concrete and sand as well as about 500 cinder blocks. It should be a good workout. If I have time I'll post some pictures to flickr and add a link on this page, keep your fingers crossed that it happens sooner than later!

Chau for now.

Life Lately

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've had time to sit and write, I've just not done it. I figure it's picture time though, as pictures speak wonders. At least I think they do.

Here's a picture I couldn't resist taking.

Just another day.

Coloring while the moms are in Bible study.

A view from outside.

Simple.

It's not all about kids, but they sure do warm my heart.
Life here is moving, we're currently in the process of taking a census of the entire community we go visit. It's going to be a tough process, but well worth it. We're also in need of a spot of land to build a new tutoring center on. Prayers would be appreciated for that - a group from Auburn is coming near the end of April to help build it, so we obviously have to have the land before then. This is the cool part where we get to see God do His part. :-)

I'll do my best to write more often...we'll see how well I do.

Godspeed.
